Casual starters, who make few or no turns before dropping out, are the main effort-cost in running a pbem game. This form is to put them off, saving us the trouble of inserting them into games and removing them soon afterwards.

It also serves to keep track of players in multiple games while discouraging people from running multiple positions in the same game by forcing them to lie about their name to do it.

1) What is your email address? (a test message will be sent to this address, if you can't receive mail then you won't be able to play the games anyway)

2) What is your real name? (for example, "John Smith" is a real name that will encourage people to talk to you, "Killer42" is a stupid pretend name that will get your application ignored) You can find your real name on your birth certificate, driving licence or passport. Do not use a made-up alias. (Sorry for labouring this, but we've had people claim their real name is anything from Ace to Dutchman)
